Here at Parkview Community Federal Credit Union, it is our mission to provide you with you with the highest quality products and services delivered in a friendly, convenient and personalized atmosphere by people who care.  It has certainly been challenging living up to our mission since the novel Coronavirus commenced.  We have tried to do our best to continue to provide you with the banking experience you have come to expect from us over the years.  And although it's a much different experience now, we hope that we've been able to meet your financial needs.  We thank you for continuing to trust us and allow us to serve you through the best of times and now the worst of times. In our effort to continue to minimize the spread of the Coronavirus in order to keep our members and staff safe, entrance into our lobbies WILL NOT be permitted until further notice.

 Banking can be completed in the following manner:

  • The Drive-Thru at both of our offices will be open to do the following banking transactions - withdrawals, deposits and transfers.  The ATMs at both of these locations are also available as well, in addition to any PNC ATMs.
  • Mobile Deposit is available for check-only deposits. 
  • Call 412-678-956 to process non-currency transactions such as account questions, changes or all other requests.  PC Banking, Touch Banking & Parkline can also support most non-currency transactions as well.  Click here or call 412-678-9564 then press #6 for more information about any of these services.
  • Loan inquiries are available via phone, online and Websign.  Curbside service and/or appointments are available for certain loan transactions.  Complete the form at the bottom of this page or call 412-678-9564 then press #5 to speak to a loan representative.

The delivery of the third round of Economic Stimulus Payments (EIPs) has begun.  As we informed you on 3/12/2021, eligible Americans will either receive a direct deposit or a paper check in the coming weeks.  Most eligible Americans will start receiving a direct deposit of their EIP starting this week.  Payments - whether direct deposit or paper check - will continue to roll out until all eligible funds have been disbursed.  Most questions about this third round of EIPs can be answered here.  The IRS also provided additional information about the EIPs which can be reviewed here.  Although, we have no knowledge or control over the timing of electronic EIPs for our members, you may contact us for any questions/concerns at 412-678-9564 during our normal business hours (Monday thru Friday 9:00am – 4:30pm) or by completing the contact form below. 

We have been receiving a lot of information from our federal regulators and other government agencies alerting us to all of the different scams popping during this unprecedented time.  Sadly, there are some people that choose to exploit others during difficult times. We want to remind you that we’ll never ask you for password, PIN, or other account information when reaching out to you. We suggest you review the Federal Trade Commission’s helpful tips on how you can avoid being a victim of scams & fraud.

Be sure to take a look at some of the tips below we want you be aware of immediately:

  • Individuals and businesses selling fake cures for COVID-19 online and engaging in other forms of fraud.  This includes going door-to-door around the Pittsburgh area.
  • Phishing emails from entities posing as the World Health Organization or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
  • Malicious websites and apps that appear to share virus-related information to gain and lock access to your devices until payment is received.
  • Seeking donations fraudulently for illegitimate or non-existent charitable organizations.
  • The IRS urges taxpayers to be on the lookout for scam artists trying to use the economic impact payments as cover for schemes to steal personal information and money. Remember, the IRS will not call, text you, email you or contact you on social media  asking for personal or bank account information – even related to the economic impact payments. Also, watch out for emails with attachments or links claiming to have special information about economic impact payments or refunds.
  • Scammers know that finding a job can be tough. To trick people looking for honest work, scammers advertise where real employers and job placement firms do. They also make upbeat promises about your chances of employment, and virtually all of them ask you to pay them for their services before you get a job. But the promise of a job isn’t the same thing as a job. If you have to pay for the promise, it’s likely a scam.

You can also avoid being a victim by doing the following:

  • Be sure to check your account(s) activity regularly via your Online, Mobile or Telephone Banking services or calling the office.  Make it a point to check more often than you did pre-COVID.  This will help you find any suspicious activity which may be a result of fraud.  If you don't have access to any of the above listed services, be sure to review your account statement when you receive it to look for anything out of the ordinary.  It is beneficial to do this for all accounts (including credit cards) you have, even if their not with PCFCU.
  • Remember to keep your checkbook and/or credit/debit cards in a safe place to prevent your information from being used to make fraudulent transactions.  Also, set up notifications on your account(s) that will alert you when activity has occurred.  Please call 412-678-9564 to find out how to set up eNotifications through PC Banking (must be enrolled in the service), if you haven't done so already. 

Criminals will likely continue to use new methods to exploit COVID-19 worldwide that could include payment relief, job opportunities, and payday loans to name a few. Also, the federal government will never ask for personal information such as a bank account or social security number.
