In Western Pennsylvania, neighbors are always helping each other out. At Parkview Federal Credit Union, we carry on that tradition with our community outreach. It's all part of our "people helping people" philosophy.
Raising money for charity. Providing valuable services in the community. Sponsoring school events and other activities. We don’t just serve the Greater Pittsburgh area. We’re part of it.
Parkview choose the Norwin Area Kiddy Sack Program to fundraise for during 2022. The Kiddy Sack Program is a program organized and administered by the Norwin Lion's Club, a 501(c)(3) organization located in Irwin. The Kiddy Sack Program provides backpacks to students in need that attend one of the elementary schools or the intermediate school in the Norwin School District. The backpacks are filled with enough kid-friendly, healthy food to fee the students over the weekend. Parkview, as well as its members, raised $3,000 during 2022 to help ensure that a program as vital as this is sustained throughout 2023.
Parkview was also able to support another great local 501(c)(3) organization - the LaRosa Youth Club of McKeesport. We had the pleasure of partnering with the Elan Charitable Giving Program to designate LaRosa Youth Development Foundation to receive $15,000 from the charitable program! The credit union was one of 25 credit unions nationwide to be chosen by the Elan Charitable Giving Program to designate a charity in its community to receive such a generous donation! LaRosa Youth Development Foundation is such a worthy recipient of this generous donation because it does outstanding work with the "future" of this community - OUR YOUTH!
We also had the pleasure of sponsoring many local organizations, fundraisers, etc. throughout the year such as: McKeesport Area High School Musical, Norwin Chamber Excellence in Education, McKeesport Area School District Athletics, Norwin Boys Basketball Boosters, East Allegheny School District Reality Fair, Liberty Boro Athletic Association, Sage's Army, Circleville VFD, Penn-Trafford HS Football Boosters, Mary Mother of God (White Oak) Summer Festival, Port Vue Borough Kid's Day and and more. We will continue and look forward to supporting the communities we serve all throughout 2023!
